Returning for its third year, Ludwig’s Streamer Games hosted by creator Ludwig Ahgren again brought together some of the top online content creators to compete in live physical challenges, ranging from intense sporting events to schoolyard games with an amped up twist. Alienware was an official partner at the event, offering attendees free swag and the chance to win some cool prizes.
A total of 40 familiar and popular faces participated in the competition, which took place August 1–2. Reflecting the growing popularity of the event, this year’s Streamer Games was at its biggest venue yet, USC’s Allyson Felix Field in Los Angeles. And as Ludwig noted, this time they included many more competitors representing more countries from around the world.

It was a hot weekend in Los Angeles with temperatures inching into the 90s, making it all the more impressive how Ludwig, the competitors, and the fans in the stands kept their energy high. That was backed by energetic commentary from Peter (AKA premier two) and Slime, while fans watched the streamers face off in an eclectic assembly of games that included Paper Airplane Toss, 100-Meter Dash, Musical Chairs, Archery, Volleyball, Crate Stick, Cubert Toss, Bull Riding, Half and Half, Dodgeball, Simon Says, and Football Shootout.
Attendees who braved the heat got to do more than just watch the competition. They could also stop by the Alienware booth, where they had the opportunity to open a lootbox of Alienware gear and sit down at an Alienware Gaming PC to see how they stacked up against the current mouse-click world record. Set by Yigox back in February, that official record was 760 clicks in a single minute.

The fans at the Streamer Games went big, with many racking up a massive amount of clicks in the minute they were allotted. On Day 1, Harry Lu scored 798 clicks using butterfly clicking in 60 seconds. Then, on Day 2, the standout was Terrance Lee, who set a new unofficial single-click world record with 788 clicks in 60 seconds on the Alienware Pro mouse, using only his index finger to click. For their accomplishments, Harry and Terrance both took home an Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop.
There was more glory to be found as well thanks to the Alienware Arena challenge that took place both days of the Streamer Games. After signing up, those looking to participate could hold up one of the Alienware x Mogul Moves fans being given out to offer to volunteer, with Ludwig helping choose which lucky attendees would then compete against him one-on-one.
Luis Bustamante and Kortney Keys were the two attendees chosen to go up against Ludwig across both days. Just by being chosen, they were guaranteed to walk away with an Alienware prize. If they managed to beat Ludwig, they’d get an Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop with OLED. If not, they’d get Alienware’s flagship monitor: the AW3926QW.

Luis (pictured above) challenged Ludwig in archery. Ludwig ultimately won that showdown, but Luis still got to go home with a AW3926QW. Kortney (pictured below) faced off with Ludwig in mechanical bull riding and happily declared, “My name is Kortney and I’m gonna beat Ludwig’s ass!” She went on to do just that, besting Ludwig in the bull riding competition and winning herself an Alienware 16 Area-51 as the crowd cheered her on. Ludwig signed Kortney’s new laptop to put the cherry on top.

As for the competition at the center of the Steamer Games, by the end of a hard-fought Day 1, Team Worldwide was in first place, followed by Team All-Stars in second place and Team Mexico in third. And while Day 2 saw more heated competition, those initial standings turned out to be prophetic. Team Worldwide brought home the gold for the entire event, with Team All-Stars earning silver and Team Mexico getting bronze.

It was another successful year for the ever expanding Streamer Games, and now we wait and see what Ludwig has up his sleeve for next year.
